A student of the Faculty of Microsystems Electronics and Photonics and a member of the SPENT circle, Oliwia Hałuszczak, will start a 12-month internship at the CERN research center in March 2021.

For several months, Oliwia has been involved in the research carried out on, among others, the evaluation of the effectiveness of the correlation microscopy system solution and the observation of the dynamics of the reconstruction of the passivating layer of electropolished stainless steel. At CERN, a Wrocław University of Technology student will join the research group dealing with the characterization of silicon detectors for a new type of calorimeter used in the CMS experiment.
